I have to admit, I am not a big fan of Motorola’s RAZR. I just don’t understand the obsession with making a phone so thin that it feels uncomfortable to hold in your hands. Many people, though, did buy the RAZR which at the time, came with Motorola’s Blur version of Gingerbread. It launched back in November right after ICS was launched it was promised that it would receive a speedy update to the coveted Android 4.0.

It looks like that promise is soon to come true as a GSM build has been leaked into the wild. Before everyone gets too excited, it should be noted that Motorola has decided to go ahead and slap their own version of Blur onto the perfectly good Holo UI that ICS comes with. Why Motorola would insist upon doing this is beyond me. HTC has done well for themselves with the Sense UI but Blur is almost universally hated. On my Droid X2 it took made a dual core phone unacceptably laggy. Maybe this latest version of Blur will work better but if I had been waiting to see Ice cream sandwich on my RAZR I would be very upset right now.
