White Galaxy Nexus Rumored to Verizon

Kellex over at Droid Life is citing sources in the industry that point to a White Samsung Galaxy Nexus landing on Verizon “in the very near future.” Interesting enough, but it looks like the white GNex is only sporting 16 GB of storage onboard, and remember that the GNex doesn’t support a removable SD Card, so 16 GB is what you get. UK Launch For Motorola Motoluxe Confirmed

O2 Have quietly abandoned The Cloud from the list of Wi-Fi hotspot list it grants its mobile customers free access to.
Until the end of January, O2 customers could access the internet through The Cloud’s many WLANs. Now, however, only BT Openzone and O2′s own O2 WiFi hotspots are included for free. Read more after the break. (more…)

Android 4.04 on Verizon Galaxy Nexus

Woah, look at that! Android Central member seanmacanally has just pulled and uploaded this 4.04 IMM30B update to Android.

Looks like an internal build, or a ‘soak test’ as my Galaxy Nexus doesn’t have an update available. Also looks like you need to be completely stock to install this as-is.

No word on what the update does, but as more adventurous types dive into the code, I am sure we will have more to report as time goes on.

Today Sprint announced that the ZTE Optik Tablet would be available starting February 5th.  The Tablet will be powered by Android Honeycomb, and will have a 7 inch screen, and be available for the bargain price of just $99.99 with a new 2 year agreement. This really is a fantastic price for a decent tablet. If you are a no commitment person you can get the tablet for $349.99. The tablet comes packed with the usual Sprint goodies such as Sprint TV, Sprint Navigation, Sprint Zone, Sprint Music Plus,  Sprint Football Live and NASCAR Sprint Cup MobileSM.  It also comes with Swype. US Cellular taps Samsung for first LTE devices, will hit in March

Galaxy Nexus on Sprint – Official Google Signup Page Goes Live

Just a few weeks ago, Sprint verified that the Galaxy Nexus would be heading to the Now Network in 2012. There are no dates set, but we now have some more information as the official Google signup page is now live. The site doesn’t give away a time frame either, it asks for your email address and Zip Code to be entered and more information will be sent.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be the first device that will operate on Sprint’s LTE Network. Now there is a sweet thought, the Galaxy Nexus in all it’s glory blazing across an unlimited LTE network. As we get more news we will share it here.

O2 (UK) Shares Your Mobile Phone Number With Every Website You Visit

If you’re browsing the web on your phone or tablet on O2 UK, the network could be exposing your phone number to every website you visit. O2 customer Lewis Peckover recently discovered that when you’re browsing over 3G on O2, your handset’s phone number is often included in the HTTP headers sent to each website you visit, in plain text.
