HTC EVO 3D and EVO Design 4G get ICS update
File this one under the “it’s about time” category. The Sprint/HTC EVO 3D and the EVO Design 4G are finally receiving their official Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) updates.
Bringing both handsets up to Android 4.0.3, this update brings both phones out of their old, crusty and possibly even stale Gingerbread coating. Those unfamiliar with Ice Cream Sandwich should check out Google’s product page on the OS iteration, but here’s the official changelog from Sprint/HTC:
- Upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0)
- Upgrade to Sense 3.6
- Home screen folders
- Launch Bar for commonly used apps
- Improved Android Browser
- Improved Camera Experience
- Face Unlock
- Resizable widgets
- Add/Remove Panels
This update should have either already rolled out to EVO 3D owners or will be hitting you by the end of the week. EVO Design 4G users should be seeing the update soon as well. Good luck and have fun, software updates, especially ones THIS major are always great!
