Counter-Strike is Coming to Android

Counter-Strike is arguably the most popular first person shooter of all time. It started out as a mod for the original Half-Life and, despite being 13 years old, is still played by millions of people. Now, a dedicated group of fans has brought Counter-Strike action to Android. Much like the Grand Theft Auto III port, it is a direct port from the computer version and therefore can take advantage of third party mods, system specs permitting.
This port is being developed by the dedicated Android community over at XDA. Currently, there are two different versions. The series 5 version is for Android 2.0 – 2.2 devices and series 6 version for people using Android 2.3 and up. Both versions can be downloaded here. This is still considered to be a work in progress so some bugs are to be expected, but if you’ve been craving some Counter-Strike action on the go, your prayers have finally been answered.
